Quick Tip for Your Mobile Contact List

Many of us tend to program phone numbers into our cell / mobile phones without including the associated area code. If you are planning on travelling interstate, it is worthwhile to review your phone book and ensure the area code is included for your current contacts.

If your phone book lists '1234 5678' and it is for a Queensland phone number, you may encounter a problem if you travel to Sydney that also has the number '1234 5678' listed. As you have not detailed it is '07' your call may be connected to the '02 1234 5678' Sydney number and not your Queensland contact.

Another great tip is to label your contacts to assist in times of emergency. Placing ICE (In Case of Emergency) beside a name in your phone book can notify emergency workers of your nominated contact/s.

Taking a few extra precautions can be helpful in removing unnecessary hassles when travelling. Take care and stay safe!
