Holiday Driving Tip #1: Look Out For Emergency Vehicles

Be vigilant of emergency vehicles on our roads these holidays and make sure you give them right of way in emergencies.

Here are some of our helpful tips:

• When approaching an intersection or set of traffic lights, please take a quick scan to ensure no emergency vehicles are entering from opposite or neighbouring access points.

• Ensure you have all music at a level that allows you to hear sirens of approaching emergency vehicles.

• Keep check on traffic behind you to give yourself plenty of warning of emergency vehicles heading in your direction. By regularly viewing your side and rear view mirrors you can provide yourself ample time to safely move out of the way.
