Quick Safety Tip: Take Care of Your Car Hire Keys

If you are unable to return your car hire keys to the supplier due to the vehicle being stolen, i.e. you were negligent through actions whereby you left the vehicle keys in a vulnerable and / or prominent location, you may be liable for the full cost of the car hire vehicle.

Keep Your Car Hire Keys Safe

Always place your car hire keys in a safe location. Never leave the keys in the vehicle, or vehicle's ignition while it is parked - even when on private property.

Unfortunately, suppliers will not accept reasons such as, 'I was only going in to pay for fuel' or 'I was just going to be a few minutes in the shops'.

Be vigilant and never provide thieves with an easy opportunity to spoil your travel plans.
